Vidyanidhi is a division of Sankshema a Registered Charitable trust. It was started in the year 2004 with an aim of providing education to girl students who have performed well in academics and who are unable to continue further studies due to poor financial conditions. Vidyanidhi became a part of Sankshema Charitable Trust SANKSHEMA CHARITABLE TRUST in June 2005.


Vidyanidhi was formed due to an accident culminating into an incident, to five strong-willed women, members of the women’s sub-committee wing of A.P.Velama Association(APVA). A road accident changed the destiny of two sisters in rural Andhra Pradesh in 2004. This accident claimed the life of their father, the sole bread earner. And the sisters were unable to continue their studies. They then approached the APVA to help them financially, but policies did not permit them to support them for their entire education..
